A newborn baby suffered critical injuries after it was attacked by a dog in a home in Hamilton.
Details about the incident, which happened about 7pm on Sunday in the Hamilton suburb of Enderley, remain scarce.
The baby, understood to be only a day old, was rushed to Waikato Hospital by St John Ambulance with what were described as critical injuries.
Police inquiries into how the incident happened are continuing.
