Seaside locals continue to see debris falling beneath two houses sitting precariously on the edge of an eroding cliff face on Auckland's North Shore.
Last week, Auckland Council told local man Paul Jury that a suitable solution to a stormwater runoff issue – believed to be the reason for the continued erosion at a construction site in Browns Bay – had been fixed.
“The appropriate experts have viewed the property and all necessary inspections undertaken to ensure the required stability is present,” the council told Jury in an email.
However, Jury checked the beach on Saturday and said all the council had done was cut a branch off a fallen pōhutukawa tree.
