Dr. Peter Hotez, professor and dean of the National School of Tropical Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine, warned members of US Congress Thursday against minimizing the risks of novel coronavirus in the United States, calling it “the angel of death for older individuals.”
“Don’t just get up there and say this is a flu, this is a mild illness," he added. "One, it’s not true and people in Oklahoma are pretty smart and will figure that out pretty quickly.
