标题: 签证有效期不能超过护照有效期吗？ [打印本页]

今早电话催来了配偶工签(早就批了但是没给我发official签证页)，但是一看时间不到两年，而我先生的是三年工签。打电话去问，回答说是按我的护照有效期来的，等换了新护照可以transfer。
但我先生的护照有效期跟我差不多，就是三年工签呀，而且我理解的申请transfer是要有效签证，签证时间不会变化。
我现在签证不到两年，GP也注册不了，找工作也有影响。
请问有碰到这种情况的吗？是移民局的工作失误吗？
还是我现在提前申请换新护照，再去改签证呢？

之前的旧签证和新的工签加起来超过两年就可以注册GP，不用单独一个2年的工签，之前是旅游签或学签都可以。
B5 Holder of work visa
A person is eligible to receive services funded under the Act if—
(a) the person is the holder of a work visa; and
(b) either—
(i) the person is entitled to work in New Zealand for a
period that equals or exceeds 2 years commencing
on the person’s first day in New Zealand as a holder
of the work visa; or
(ii) the person is entitled to work in New Zealand for a
specified period of time that, together with the period
of time the person has already been lawfully in New
Zealand immediately before obtaining the work visa,
equals or exceeds 2 years.

签证有效期不可以超过护照有效期，比如申请3年多次往返签，但是护照还有1年就到期了，签证就只给你一年。

而且新西兰不承认护照还剩6个月的入境。

谢谢，那像我这种情况，有什么好办法吗？可以提前申请换新护照吗？
找工作时都会看签证有效期，我又没有官方证明说我是三年工签

以前好像有人问过同样的问题，签证或email里有写签证时长。

谢谢，我原来的evisa里没有签证时长的说明，又打电话去问，然后给我发了一个新版本，里面加了visa expiry date的说明。写我的签证实际时长是到2022年，但因为护照有效期批到了2021年。
Visa expiry date
You are entitled to a visa expiry date of 01 October 2022 however you have been issued a shortened visa due to your passport expiry date of 06 July 2021.

总结：INZ的工作有很多失误，先是批了签证忘了给我发正式visa，打电话去问才给我发，但又给了我一个不完整版本。现在全搞定了，希望以上信息对大家有用。

不嫌麻烦的话也可以直接申请，三年签证就算你护照有效期快到了也不会少一天，只要你护照续上了就会把余额 (balance 这词我实在不知道怎么翻译) 给你的。

签证转移申请 (INZ 1023 Application for Transfer or Confirmation of a Visa) 里面有一项就是 Applying for the balance of your visa

If your temporary visa was granted for a shorter length than requested because your passport was about to expire, you can apply for the balance of the visa to be transferred to your new passport.

因为我外甥女是小孩子护照时间短，我姐和我姐夫的旅游签都是按照小孩子的护照时间给的。

我觉得你可以问问中介是不是有解决办法之类的，申请工作的话你最好也有一个explain就好了吧
