Ignorant people..... Commerce Act and free market economy are fundamental to NZ after departure from Muldoon's influence in 1984. That was why David Lange was elected and a series of de-regulation was introduced known as Rogernomics (same era as Margaret Thacher).
Rental increase is part of life in Auckland, might not make much difference in Christchurch though. Auckland will welcome Christchurch people to move north.
