Please discuss.
I am not sure.

for hotel check out, you pay rent on the day you check in, and leave before XXX time on the day checking out.

我的理解：hotel通常以天为标准计量单位，收取Hotel fee。提前5小时离开，也得付全天的费用。除非特别注明，额外要求。房租通常以周为计算单位收Rent，提前2-3天离开也要付一周费用。当然啊，有特别要求除外。

应该不算的。
租客搬进来那天就算，同理推算，搬出那天就不该算。简单说，以过不过夜为准吧。
当然是要在说好的”check out time”搬出，不能搞到很晚。所以property manager要盯紧，安排协调好。没有的话，房东自己来。

我把问题搞偏了。
check out time最晚是出租合同到期那周的最后一天。所以，顾客要在合同到期前X天搬出，留足够的时间给打扫卫生和房东检查。

i am fine with late "check out day" at 5pm. i think it is reasonable.

我的房子没那么火，通常会空几天，所以差一两天没那么计较。

理论上是，周一搬进来的话，租金一周算到周日。周日就得搬出去，有时候拉到周一中午也行啦。如果有下一个租客，我通常也是会安排到周三或者是周四才搬进来的。
