Go home and look after your mum

What is to be made of the Chinese man who is accusing NZ of being “heartless and absurd” because his sick mum has been turned down for a visa to come and live here.
If a Kiwi went to China and his mum got ill in New Zealand, how would the Chinese authorities react about bringing her to be with him in China and footing the bill if her condition worsened?
They would tell the Kiwi to go back to his mother’s country and care for her and not expect China to do it.
We’re saying the same thing to Cheng Wang who has been here for just five years.
Don’t start calling Immigration NZ “heartless and absurd” or using emotional blackmail.
You left your mother behind when you came to New Zealand to pursue your own personal ambitions knowing you come from a one-child family.
If you want to be with her – do the proper thing – get on a plane and return to China.
She’d love to see you.
And it would save her the stress and hassle of having to come here to see you.
New Zealand has a temporary hold on parents coming in because of a huge backlog of applicants mostly from China.
It’s added more pressure to our infrastructure, and our hospitals in particular.
The parent immigrants are supposed to have money to support themselves, but the evidence from our hospitals says otherwise.
About a third of recent Chinese immigrant parents have been abandoned by their kids who have shot through to “greener” pastures, or gone home where there is no old age pension.
Chinese parents have flooded into NZ.
The NZ Herald’s tabloid heading “Kept apart” shows just how pro-immigration this paper is. This man has a job, he can buy an air ticket today.
Where in Asia, or the world, can you pull this stunt and succeed?
Ask the original Chinese families who came to New Zealand what they think and they’ll tell Mr Wang the same.作者: NewLynnHse 时间: 2017-2-22 12:36:09
