刚刚看新闻Gisborne以及Hawke's Bay的失业率为全国最高，达到8.1%，接着是7.3%的Northland以及6.8%的Taranakiwoju，可是这Hawkes Bay却是外国工人最多的地方,没错，大部分上班都是背包客和岛人，很多背包客是欧洲美洲来的，所以你分辨不出是外国人。
就拿2013来说：

容我数学统计不好。他们怎么算的失业率？
我认识的人都说2000年的时候，你想上班，一般问几家就有人要你了。你想租房，一般问一次就有得住了。

这个Not in the labour force是怎么来的？和Unemployed的关系是怎样的？不在上班不就是失业吗？
好吧，在家带孩子的一部分人要属于Not in the labour force，单身父母也属于，残疾人和精神病人，罪犯统统属于。Not in the labour force越来越高，Unemployed的人多了，人口也多了。怎么失业率却比2000年低了？

几乎每个国家的数据都是这样。不上班的不一定都会被算进去

网站上都有说明的啊

The unemployment rate is the number of people unemployed expressed as a percentage of the labour force. The labour force consists of all individuals of the working-age population who are either employed or unemployed. Unemployment is defined as being without paid work, where a person was available for and actively seeking work.

比如10个人，都是30岁左右，5个想找工作，其中3个找到了，2个失业，另外5个愿意失业在家（做主妇或者靠存款生活，不领福利，或者生病），那失业率 = 2/10 = 20%

如果这5个去work income登记想领福利，work income会要求他们去努力的找工作，那在找到工作之前，失业率 = 7/10 = 70% （都算在内）

65岁以上的人失业率1.7%，太厉害了。

不懂怎么算失业率，不过不工作就算肯定不对了，是不是算那些登记那些领失业救济或者需要找工作的人？我个人觉得新西兰还好吧，反正我们公司招人，投简历大部分是留学生，本地只有几个而已

这有点搞不清楚。是说ird那边登记了职业的就不算失业了？housewife这个算失业吗？还是说领失业救济的才算？ 8%都在领救济的话 确实挺多的

housewife 肯定不能算失业，如果算，那数据就高的吓人了
