150k 那招的应该是team lead了，senior programmer这个level的上限一般也就120-130了吧

I had a team leader title in a big software development house before. But at that time, the salary was nzd73k before tax per year at 2010.

You wouldn't be unemployed in NZ if lower your expectation a bit.
This is NZ not USA. Do you really think NZ is the next silicon valley?

Tell you something I work in a software company listed in NZ exchange and it's one of the largest NZ software exporter through the whole nation. Our product covers more than 80% of Australia and NZ; I don't see much people eye in the company from the world by pushing up our share price.
At the end of the day, NZ is still an island and it's too small; this is why you see more people investing in properties rather than stock exchange here.

It is interesting that you mentioned about 80%. My boss told me that the website I wrote covers more than 80% of Australia and NZ. :-)

Though the company I work for is a very small company and do not have a office and we work at home.

Anyway I used to develop software for Fletcher, apl, nalco. :-)

It is quite difficult for me to find a full time in NZ as I am not PR but a valid work visa only.I didn`t request for 50k per year, but there are still hundreds of applicants applying for a basic salary level of positon.
Feel frustrated, frankly speaking.

22 years programming experience

My 5 years programming experience in P.R.China is including in my work experience. I won't drop 5 years. :-)
If the employer don't like my formula, I won't apply the job. I have not done job seeking for about four years. I just hate these sorts of job interviews which wasted my annual leave.

The reason for that is there are lots of candidates can be selected for the advertised position. If only you can do the job in the world, of course that you can command the salary. :-) Unfortunately these kind of job is very hard.

I am a programmer. I can give you an example relating to software industry.

Reverse engineering is very hard. So ida pro hex-rays decompiler is very expensive compare to other software package. If it is not hard to do the job, ida pro will be selling very cheap.

Tell me why the usa/china company give employee share is opposite of what you said. I think these usa/china company is very big and profitable. i.e. microsoft, google, facebook etc

It is not wise to keep 100% profit yourself. It is better to give some tiny small percentage of the profit to whom generated such profit.
If the company bankcorrupt, the company share the boss gave to employee is worthless anyway.

To be honest, I did not get any share from any company I worked for in my 22 years career.

BTW, I am developing quantitative analysis software for the chinese stock market myself using my 22 years programming experience. It is good to be your own boss :-) It is very hard for me to do such software considering the network latency between china and nz is around 400ms. If I have success, I might move my server from my garage to server room in shanghai, p.r. china. :-)

what you're looking for for many are simply unheard of, since it appears to be too good to be true to them, thus their direct reaction would be: you don't get a job you want, simply because you're asking too much, and you've been absurd. Hence you may find some of them being sarcastic and rude.
In one way it shows they are in no better situation than you. However in someways, it's actually true. what you're thinking is common in may cultures and many companies for many people, however if it's not happening to you, then it simply mean you may just not be good enough...
If you are too good to be dispensed, your boss would have done everything possible to keep you which includes giving you shares of the company. However, if it's not a common thing in the industry and you're not indispensable then there would only be a few options:
1. you'd be jobless for asking too much
2. you know you'd be jobless if asking, and you don't want that to happen, thus you settle for less to secure a job
3. if you already have a job and had asked such things your boss is not willing to offer, and temporarily your boss can't replace you, then you might feel things are dragging without a definite answer, and until one day, they found the one to replace you and kindly ask you to leave...

So although what you have in mind sounds good, but unfortunately it's not a common cultural in nz job market. If you get it, then you're quite good and being lucky, just appreciate that fact. But if you don't, there is not too much point in complaining. However, should you be able to change the enviroment for good, by all means please do so.

我真认识个写程序的不过是给机器写程序的年薪就20万别人没有22年经验。。。

不过别人就是牛而且公司也不算大吧 50来个人。。。

而且google也有公司在新西兰奥克兰的。。。

但是能不能拿到contract 就是another story啦。。。

I think that I am in 2 option

I still have plenty of time after work to write projects and hoping to sell and make some money.

Frankly speaking, I don't care about 150k per year anymore. Just buy multiple houses and I don't need to go else where and I live a nice life. :-) I think the bank will lend me money for sure. :-)
