In the 19th century, during the treaty of Waitangi era, the immigrants ( pakeha) used gun powder, potatoes, raw materials in exchange for lands.

In 2016, the Chinese immigrants use the money, yuen, USA dollar to exchange the properties created by the pakeha in the 19th century. They come here because they like western democracy and the rule of law here.

Different era, different directors, the same scenario. Nothing to judge about. River east had changed to river west.

I reckon the Maoris were happy with that arrangement then, but the Pakeha appear to be unhappy with today's arrangements...haha double standard.

i will further add that:-

1) to get a job is so difficult for immigrants, they end up doing business and soon Auckland small businesses (cafe, groceries etc) will be controlled by Asian.

2) These Asian immigrants are now doing well in properties because they see it as viable options in wealth creation.

Now, they are doing well, it attracts some attention and jealousy. Too bad, this is part of western democracy,fittest will survive.
