New Zealand's biggest bank, ANZ, has tightened its lending criteria for rental property investors and owner-occupier borrowers by reducing its Loan To Value Ratio limits, and by stopping lending to investors wanting to buy sections and apartments off the plan.
reduce the maximum LVR for Auckland Owner Occupied lending to 85%, out of Auckland to 90%
reduce the maximum LVR for exemptions across NZ ( turn-key, refinance, construction) to 90%
If an Auckland residential investment lending is involving, maximum LVR is 70% across all properties.
