We can confirm that Duane Major was successful in purchasing the Awaroa beach property.
The total pledged on Givealittle by the public was $2,278,171.09, from 39,249 contributions.

As per our commitment, Givealittle has received documentation to confirm:

The tender has been successful and the purchase is expected to settle without issue
Provisions have been made to ensure the owner of the land is in keeping with public expectations

Accordingly, we have started the process of charging credit cards for the amount pledged.

其实到最后所有的纳税人都出钱了，因为政府也出了一部分。。。捐款的人出了两遍。。。

俺以前住过abel tasman那边。。很漂亮丫。。的确很多private beach。。老值钱了。。有个朋友的祖父还留了房子个给他们。据说自己盖的。。

还有人说。这东西当时就是政府卖给私人的。这不妨碍，有人想从私人手里买下来，变成reserve，就可以操作，而且可以成功达成。如果说打算讨论到，谁出钱，出多少钱，为什么要买。各人有各人看法。但是，到现在为止，我觉得新西兰还是算是比较简单，透明的地方。

我觉得这点新西兰很好，国家公园什么都没门票钱的，河流也自由出入，在国内一条臭水沟都要这个证，那个证
