是新買的房子嗎？我以前也試過，地稅单是寫以前屋主的名字，因為前屋主已移民海外，我收到信後就扔掉了，所以一直收不到稅單，後來去康嫂問，靠！都拖欠幾個月了，要罰滯納金，還不能馬上交，要找回律師改後才能交，律師道歉後馬上更正，但滯納金還是要我交，縱然不是我的錯。

sometimes, it is the system that have not been updated, not your lawyer's fault.

eg, settlement was in early february 2016, council already printed the rate invoice, so they still use the old owner's name... by the time you receive the rate, it is still under old owner's name.

這是康嫂和律師之間的事，但滯納金要新屋主來交有點冤枉啊。

can ask council to waive.

i have done it before, need to explain the situation to council, then they can cancel penalty interest.
