“Recent report from Barfoot & Thompson on Chinese Purchasers of Auckland Properties have drawn attentions both publicly and politically. However, the report appears misleading to me and other public. The major concern from me is that the analysis in the report has based on all the Chinese purchases in their survey and has not distinguished between NZ Citizen (or resident) and non NZ residents (e.g. foreign investors). I think that a majority of Chinese Purchasers are NZ Citizen (or resident) and they should be treated as other domestic purchasers. Therefore, I suggest that the government should make further investigations and provide updated results to the public so that no discriminations are to make on Chinese residents in New Zealand."

Honestly I think they are quite right if the figure is true. I don't mind foreign buyers, doesn't matter where they come from, but I do think we need some restriction on that, such as charge more tax to foreign buyers etc. 作者: DinC 时间: 2015-7-13 12:46:07
