The suspected site of the new Block NZ series.
Has popular home-renovation show The Block NZ found its new home for 2015?
Speculation has erupted that the next season of the show will be in the suburb of Sandringham in Central-West Auckland.
Sandringham resident Jane Yee posted on Twitter on Monday:
A letter to residents, posted to the website The Spinoff, details up and coming building and filming work associated with The Block NZ, and invited neighbours to a community meeting held by Eyeworks, the producers of the DIY-reality show.
Ownership of the large corner site at 37 Renfrew Ave and 38 Haig Ave was recently held by the Public Trust, but was sold at auction by Barfoot and Thompson a few weeks ago.
Agent Scott Haydon of Barfoot and Thompson declined to comment on whether it was sold to Mediaworks for The Block NZ, or how much it was sold for - however the recent council valuation for the site was $1,040,000.

At 773 square metres, the zoned residential 6A site has the potential to be subdivided.
Mediaworks has been contacted for comment.

Couple Alice and Caleb Pearson won the second season of the show, also in Takapuna, with a $261,000 profit.
The third season, completed late last year in the Central-West Auckland suburb of Point Chevalier, was won by Alex and Corban Walls with an auction profit of $307,000.
