平时10公里容忍，去年夏天4公里容忍，今年夏天零容忍哦，亲！！

12月1号到1月31号哦，亲！！

If its not about revenue, but about preventing deaths then how about diverting some resources into that?.
Trouble is you cant fine someone for committing suicide, so no revenue.

Speed isn't the issue, careless unskilled driving is.

If speed is so directly relates to accident severity, why isn't the extra $5M going directly to ACC?

And the tolerance... A brand new tire with 8mm compared to the legal limit of 1.5mm of tread is a difference of 2kph when you're travelling at 100kph.

That's how little it takes for a speedometer to be out by a few k's
Brand new tires of the same size but different brands will also be a few mm different.

More people die from the Flu each year than in car crashes, yet the government puts far greater effort and expense to police the road. I suppose the difference in effort here between the Flu and speeding tickets is the ROI of the latter.
