ACC says it's now essentially fully funded and its strong financial performance will enable significant levy cuts in 2015.
Latest figures show it's $298 million ahead of budget, with a net surplus of $2.1 billion.
It's largely due to stronger earnings on international markets.
Income from investments returned $1.6 billion.
Chair, Paula Rebstock says new claims rose 4.7 percent on the previous year, that's 1.8 million new claims.
She says that's put pressure on ACC's ability to maintain previous high levels of rehabilitation performance.
Ms Rebstock says ACC is hiring extra case managers and taking other steps to ensure itas well positioned to address rising claims volumes.
