Lyoness is suspected to be a pyramid scheme in several of the countries it operates in. In homeland Austria, Lyoness has been declared a pyramid scheme by four independent civil courts.[8] Criminal investigations, however, are still ongoing.[8] In Norway, Lyoness was found to have operated an illegal pyramid scheme in 2012 and 2013.[9] In Australia, Lyoness is under prosecution by the ACCC.[10][11] In Sweden, the responsible authority concluded that Lyoness is a pyramid scheme and reported Lyoness to the Stockholm police.[12] In Poland, a similar investigation is ongoing. Lyoness vehemently denies all allegations.
