“A third (33.4 percent) of all the homes sold in August were for less than $500,000, an increase of 5.2 percent over the number sold in July.

about 300 houses (inc apartment) uner 500K - that is a lot. from south and west AKL?

mid price houses ( $500k- 750k) will be in demand as they were stopped by LVR loan.... now they will have a bit of catch up to do.

my gut feeling is September sales volume will be down too - Real estate.co.nz and trade me both showing declining nos of listings from late august to this stage as compare with last yr.
