A grown-up who cares about you will want to help if someone is ever hurting you or making you feel yucky. Think about grown-ups you trust - maybe your mum or dad, teacher, your brother or sister, your friend's mum, your doctor, or someone at your church.
Even though you may feel a bit scared to talk about it, the best thing you can do is tell a grown-up you trust. It's OK to feel worried sometimes, and it's good to share your problems with someone. There are lots of adults out there who want you to feel safe, and they'll do whatever they can to help you.
You can call 0800 WHATSUP (0800 942 8787) from 1pm till 11pm, 365 days of the year. This is a cool helpline just for kids, where you can talk to people about any worries you have.
The adults at Child, Youth and Family want to help you too. Please contact us anytime on 0508 FAMILY (0508 326 459).
Please speak up if:
