The big issue is not whether a house is plaster clad or not - its whether it has a cavity system or not.
A house has to breathe - if water gets in, it needs to be able to get out.
Even bricks absorb water - if enough rain, or hose on the outside of a brick house, you would see water on the other side - what saves them is the cavity system. - No air - means rot...
Rockcote or Mineral Plaster systems (owned by Resenes and Dulux) are perfectly acceptable building claddings - (and use polystyrene) - these are BRANZ approved claddings that have excellent flashings around windows etc.作者: 影像日记 时间: 2014-3-21 22:36:25
