本人在一家kiwi printing做Digital operator的工作。希望给点意见是否接受 fxxxing warning. 先谢谢啦!

上周五经理给了紧急job要print,只有一个job说明(要求print one client's old file, but the system has been updated with the new one already, so that means I need ask Designer to give the old one for print). I did so and printed the old file without checking that which I shouldn't do (why I didn't check it simply because it hasn't got reference folder to tell me which one is old or new. Then I still go ahead as it was urgent job and printed wrong one eventually. As the result, the company sent the wrong job to the client. Now my manager tried to blame me to make the mistake not to check in the first place and going to report that to the boss and wanna give me a warning. So, tomorrow I will have meeting with them to discuss about.

1. Tomorrow I will acknowledge I made the mistake, but I will consist on that there was not a correct reference folder to tell what's new or old. So, that means they cannot say I printed wrong because there was not any standard for that. They even don't have any reference folders for that and cannot argue back that.

2. If they really like to give me warning, that's unfair for me as the printing process my part is one part of that. Other people (expecially designer and the manager who prepared the file) are involving in that. I cannot take all the responsibilities.

3. The manager is an absolute asshole (under table most people think he is) and what he wants to tell the boss and piss me off (he always made mistakes and wanna get away).

4. I do acknowledge my mistake that haven't check before print. Come on everyone makes mistakes.

So, should I really dispute that or just accept waring?

在没弄清楚哪个是新文件的情况下楼主就打印并且发给客户,这个是不对的,但是经理也是有责任(没有把任务交代清楚)楼主做得对,但是注意跟老板说的时候不要激动,人一激动就犯错误。

Thanks for advertice. If they give oral warning, I may consider that. However, if it's written one, I cannot accept that. Update tomorrow see how I go. Thanks again.

I agreed what said. Thanks your analysis. I always check before print. However, this is one missed out. it's true my company is medium size company and supposed more organised, but what I heard from others worked long in here, the office side has no standard and always mess up. I will take your advertise and more cautious next time (get signed by those office side people ervey time).

One manager who left the company last year to OZ and always told me to get those office to sign in order to cover yourself up. I really should take that seriously and it's a lesson for me to learn.

Tell him to get fucked, you don’t need a warning for this shit. (Dont tell him to get fucked).
Reason with him, he needs to take up some responsibility as well, did't provide enough information.
You need to accept part of the mistake and tell him this silly little mistake does't a written warning. But sounds like this manager is a dumb shit, so you should leave anyway.

1)发现没有旧文件的时候,应该马上就跟领导汇报。工作上的事情,自己不要操心。操心的事情让领导去办。
2)紧急是相对的,对错是绝对的。你不能用相对作为绝对的借口。正所谓南辕北辙。你打印错了,再快也没用啊。

Thanks for that! I really should do what you said. Let they sort out troubles and do what the procedure I should do. Good news is that they said they would not give any warning for this time as I explained what I planned. Also, today luckily to have an old guy who worked there 8 or 9 years to back me up and to make this fair decision. What I can say, today they more or less comprised as they realised I was so serious about this incident and not easily to budge. So, from now on I will cover me up with proper approves form the office side before any print. others in the company still told me in the future don't trust that asshole manager and watch out my shoulder. Thanks again everyone answering my concerns and learn heaps from you guys.

对了,不要主动辞职,否则事情严重了拿不到赔偿金。

I think you deserve some responsibility as you take charge of the final process before delivery to customers. But in saying that, the manager did not delegate the job with the required information. And as a manager and the origin of the problem, I think he deserve more responsibility.

Good to hear the problem is solved but watch out, they might have trust issues with you in the future.
