A report has found Auckland Mayor Len Brown did not inappropriately use council resources to support his relationship with Bevan Chuang.
Auckland Council chief executive Doug McKay has just delivered the findings of the Ernst & Young report.
He says it found Mr Brown used his council provided phone to make 1375 calls and texts to Ms Chuang over nearly three years.
Mr McKay says Mr Brown also received nine complimentary hotel rooms which he didn't declare, worth more than $6000.
"They also found the mayor received hotel upgrades which have not been registered as gifts or disclosed in the declaration of interest.
"There were 64 instances valued by the hotels at $32,888.50."
It's unknown how many of those hotel rooms were used to carry out the affair.
Mr McKay says the report team did not find any improper preferential treatment when it came to Ms Chuang's employment contracting or advisory roles.
It found any gifts Mr Brown gave her were from his own pocket, and no council money was spent on the tryst.作者: 187sama 时间: 2013-12-13 15:54:05
