标题: 向各路大神请教个奇怪的澳洲过境签问题 [打印本页]

有朋友问，他是新西兰PR，有澳洲有效旅游签（2年内无限出入），老婆孩子都是新西兰国籍，年底回国经墨尔本回上海，这种情况需要不需要澳洲过境签？航空公司是在澳洲换的，新西兰到澳洲是纽航，澳洲到中国是东方航空；卖票的也不知道，让自己问，打电话有的说不需要有的又说需要，到底这三个人需要不需要申请澳洲过境签啊？

you may need to answer whether they need to stay in australia when transit, if not, things will be more simple without visa as per below link............

You do not need a Transit visa if you meet all of the following conditions:

You leave Australia by air within eight hours of the scheduled time of your arrival.
You hold confirmed onward bookings and documents necessary to enter the country of your destination.
You stay in the transit lounge at an airport (if you need to leave the transit lounge to re-check luggage, you will need a Transit visa—check with your airline).
You are one of the following:
a citizen of Andorra, Argentina, Austria, Belgium, Brunei, Canada, Cyprus, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, the Federated States of Micronesia, Fiji, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Indonesia, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Kiribati, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Malta, Mexico, Monaco, Nauru, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Oman, Palau, Papua New Guinea, Philippines, Poland, Portugal, Qatar, the Republic of South Africa, the Republic of Marshall Islands, Samoa, San Marino, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, Solomon Islands, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Thailand, Tonga, Tuvalu, the United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom, the United States, Vanuatu or Vatican City
a resident of Taiwan holding a passport issued by the authorities of Taiwan (other than a passport purporting to be an official or diplomatic passport)
a holder of a British passport (irrespective of the endorsement of national status in the passport)
a national of the People’s Republic of China who holds a Hong Kong (SAR China) passport
a holder of a diplomatic passport and not a national of Afghanistan, Algeria, Angola, Bahrain, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Comoros, the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, Egypt, Iran, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Madagascar, Mauritania, Morocco, Pakistan, the Republic of Yemen, the Russian Federation, Saudi Arabia, Sierra Leone, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, Tunisia or Zimbabwe.
You are not:
the holder of an Arab Non-National passport
a Taiwanese who holds a diplomatic or official passport.

第三条，如果需要离开转机候机区重新check in 行李，是需要transit visa的。就这条让人搞不懂。因为纽航转东方，行李是需要拿出来重新检查的，要是按照这条，那就是3个人都要申请过境签证了是吗？

Yes but it also said "check with your airline but for safety, get the transit visa which is FREE to avoid any drama............good luck to them anyway...............
