Canterbury University plans to modernise its campus to the tune of $1.1 billion over 10 years in "one of the largest building projects in New Zealand". Part of the funding will come from a $260 million government cash injection announced yesterday that will enable the earthquake-damaged university to push ahead with its recovery.
The university hopes the redevelopment will allow it to contribute significantly to the Canterbury economy and attract an additional 3000 students from outside the region over the next decade.
However, the government money comes with strings attached.
The university can use the Crown money to fund a new science centre and expand and upgrade engineering facilities.作者: LasTnG 时间: 2013-11-1 14:53:47
