标题: 狗把正在孵蛋的野鸭子赶跑了（小鸭子孵出来了） [打印本页]

那天数错了不是七只是十只!  V  u% U$ L9 \
今天中午我家的狗狗把正在院子里池塘边孵蛋的野鸭子赶跑了，并且把蛋一个个都叼了出来。我又给放了回去。一共十一个蛋。我就想问问 鸭子还能回来继续孵吗?或者 哪里有卖自动孵蛋器的?万一鸭子不回来 我就买一个帮它们孵。

这两只鸭子已经在我家院子里好久了，我们天天喂它们，最近每天只有一只出来吃东西 我们就怀疑另一只是不是在孵蛋。今天果然被狗狗给发现了它们的窝 十一只蛋啊，如果鸭子不回来那就太可惜了。

开始目标别太高，他只要叼回来就给奖励，然后奖励逐渐靠近的行为

Yes there is a story to my statement earlier. I`ll have to tell in english, coz it takes too long for me to type chinese. It`s a bad idea to feed wild ducks, as it makes them dependant on humans for food intead of fetching for food themselves. There are a lot of wild mallard ducks where I live, they`re in fact over populated in our neighborhood, you often see them wondering up and down the street. Sometimes you could see a dead duck`s body on the street got run over by a fast driving car.

; d# b! W9 t4 o; J. [: WOur drama all started with an occasional encounter with a wild duck mum and her seven little ducklings. We were in the yard, and a duck mum stumbled in with her little ducklings, the ducklings were at the cutest age, they must not have been over a couple of weeks old. Out of curiosity we gave them some bread, they seemed to really enjoy it, and we were happy to watch them ( As a matter of fact, as I learned later that it`s actually bad to feed ducks bread, you can google it if you`re keen to find out why). They came around a few more times, and of course we fed them every single time, but they did not make it a regular visit. , H- `8 k. k! R8 |/ [6 S

It was a couple months later, the duck mum returned with her partner. Obviously the drake (male duck) had stayed away all that time, as drakes don`t take part in bringing up the ducklings. Since we keep pet chickens and our own ducks on our property, there is always abundant food around. The duck was smart enough to pick a good place for her family to settle in. They would come to our yard early in the morning, get fed and sleep under the tree for most of the day, only flied away in the evening to wherever their habitat is. It was like a job for them, and the free food was just too tempting for them. It went on for some time, and I was happy to accommodate the two extra months. 1 C% _/ C/ B( z; `
$ y8 m, G; K1 V2 i" r1 L
But as time went by, more ducks came, somehow the message got around between the wild ducks that  there`s free food somewhere in the neighborhood. At first, it was another pair, and then another. Until suddenly one day I looked out of the window to the backyard, and I saw like 20 ducks there. I was absolutely shocked and almost panicked.

It was really like a neighborhood duck meeting, there even came a semi-white wild duck, he looked massive, I had never seen wild ducks in that colour before. I had to make the new comers go away, they were just getting too many. I only let the original pair stay. And if you ask me how I could tell them apart, all ducks look the same. Well, if you are a keen observer like me, you would notice the small differences in their appearance. 8 ^5 o. F% g! I3 b  S
  n# D1 e" C, Z% r- H
Here are some of the dramas during that period with the duck parents (yes I call them parents, because I would tell about their new ducklings later, well, of course that`s if you still want to hear).
0 M- q8 m" V/ P# A! f9 Z( `      First of all, of course, it`s the food. Wild ducks eat a lot more, as they need more food to store up the energy for fly. Normally a bag of 10KG poulty pellets would last for more than a month for my chickens and ducks (of course I still feed my pets with other goodies), but it finished within one week with the wild ducks. A bag of pellets is not expensive, but I still can`t afford to feed all the wild ducks around.
9 l9 U2 @/ N7 C8 `5 W5 m      Second of all, ducks are territorial and they fight (unlike my own muscovy ducks, they are pretty mellow). When a new pair come in, the drakes start to fight, one would pin the other one down with his beak. Or sometimes if the drake is not strong enough to depend his partner, the other drake would get on top of the duck and stump on her. In the end, the strongest drake wins, and the others fly away. I don`t know how many fights I had to break up. The fight happens pretty quickly when it`s feeding time. At other times, they don`t seem to mind that much.  . `" g; Y) a1 F2 M  i+ U
      And then too many ducks caused too much noise, especially when they were fighting, female ducks make a lot louder noise than the drakes. Ducks quack, drakes make quieter whistle. But the constant whistle could be annoying too. I was too afraid our neighbors would complain.
# F& X" l; I6 o- p      One other thing is with the drinking water, ducks drink a lot of water and they eat messy, I had to change water bowls a few times a day just to keep the drinking water clean so my chickens would have fresh water to drink whenever they felt like it. Keeping dinking water clean is extremely important for keeping healthy poulty. As I read in a book, if you don`t want to drink that water, don`t expect your chickens to. 7 k! S2 I0 D$ r5 w, Q- J. h
       And last, but not the least, as all creatures, ducks poop after eating. Duck poo is not like chicken poo, dry and easy to pick up. Duck poo is watery, they poop all over the yard and I couldn`t even clean it up.

Despite all that drama, I still enjoyed the stay of the pair of ducks. Although the wild ducks liked to flight, they did not mess around with my pet ducks, as they are bigger and much more solid, and my ducks have got the best personality, and partly because they move slow, they would tolerate you untill you really piss them off. My chickens, of course, are not afraid of the ducks. They would give the wild ducks a hard peck on their back if they try to steal their food while they`re eating. I had to put food in separate bowls, feeders, so everyone could eat in peace. * ]  o/ A/ Q  m( H' z

0 z# V- _( C- h6 IThe pair of wild ducks were quiet most of the time, all they did was sleeping. And I liked to watch how the drake took care of his girl. He would always wait and guard the food bowl from others until she finishes eating, he would stretch his neck out long to make others go away if someone else is aproaching the food. For a human, the stretch of neck act is pretty much defendless, but I guess it`s scary enough for another bird. He would never eat first. Even if there`s not enough food left, he would make sure she is full first. Drakes are such gentlemen when it comes to depending their partners. . U. I6 l9 j5 I7 E1 m: a

4 R" ]6 X$ V4 p/ J% a; OSometimes the duck would walk behind the drake and make quick constant noise with her neck pointing down the ground every step of the way, as if she`s telling him what to do. Sometimes as I was watching them, I would add my own voice to the duck`s quack and make it sound like a real conversation, it was kinda funny. I`m not mad, it`s just another quirky way of entertaining myself. 8 `9 H% ~& d8 {5 {; O

% k  n8 N- R  }* BWhen the evening comes and time for them to fly away, they would stand on the high ground with neck up sensing the direction of wind. And the female duck is always the first one to take off, drake would follow immediately after. As I learned from my experience of watching ducks, the females are obviously the ones calling the shot among the duck world. ) {/ e( N( a( z" N: J$ j

' _" i$ o0 g3 b, `And if you don`t know how to tell a male duck apart from a female duck, here is a tip (apart from the different sound they make and their looks), the males have curly tail feathers. 0 d; D4 b  A5 C- l

我家拉布拉多也很会抓这些东西、它经常抓鸟叼回来、把鸟折磨的残了、我们都感觉内疚死了！教育也不听！现在鸟都不敢来我家院子了！

我家也有这情况，两只鸭子来了3个多月，快4个月了，前段时间在孵蛋，前几天来了还带着小鸭子，不过就1只，我家狗它不敢随便出门的，所以鸭子没吓跑。

健皮蛋不含铅毒，富含人体所需的多种氨基酸及微量元素。营养丰富，味美可口。现将保健皮蛋加工方法介绍如下：$ j2 y9 Y  ~+ P1 o/ p- `

Q+ ~- ], d　　（一）选用新鲜禽蛋（鸡、鸭、鹅、鹌鹑蛋均可）作原料，裂纹蛋、散黄蛋、钢壳蛋、沙壳蛋均不宜采用。鲜蛋不能用水洗，脏蛋可用布擦净。（二）取生石灰、纯碱、食盐放入容器内，加入开水，搅拌３０分钟，待冷却后再加入氧化锌、氧化铁、碘化钾、绞股蓝及亚硒酸盐，混合均匀成粉剂。取粉剂５００克放入塑料容器内，加冷开水７公斤，用木棒搅匀，待浸剂内气泡全部消失，即可使用。（三）按５００克浸剂制１００个鸭蛋或１２０个鸡蛋的比例，将鲜蛋放入缸、坛、塑料袋等容器内。把配制好的浸剂倒入容器内，将蛋全部淹没，密封容器，放置于背光处，温度保持２０℃以上，１０天左右皮蛋即可成熟。成熟的皮蛋用冷开水洗净并擦干，放在塑料袋或坛中保存，随吃随取。皮蛋一般３０天左右产生松花，成品贮存一年左右不变质。

小鸭子刚生下来的时候最可爱了, 楼主珍惜这段短暂的美好时光吧, 过几个星期它们就长大了, 就没那么可爱了. 另外, 你如果教你家的狗那些鸭子是自家人, 狗应该不会去偷袭它们. 我们家的猫就一两天就学会了, 从来没去骚扰过小鸭子.

谢谢你提供了这么多专业的知识，我们就养了几只母鸡，每天能捡到五六个蛋，挺好玩的，鸡我也没拦，满院子乱跑，饲料是在宠物店买的。

哈哈, 和我家一样, 我家也养了五只母鸡, 也是满院子跑, 可自在了. 不过我每天都花不少功夫收拾鸡粪. 我在一家宠物店买鸡食, 只要超过50$都是免费送货. 不过我家鸡不太爱吃鸡饲料, 我都是买好多种谷物和鸡食自己调配. Also my chickens love meat, and they go crazy for cheese and salami (but can`t feed them too much of that, bad for them). My ducks love meat too. 前天我炖猪蹄弄多了, 就给了她们两个, 吃的象疯子一样.
