Having traffic infringements may affect an applicant's ability to meet one of the legal requirements of citizenship, when their application is considered by the Minister of Internal Affairs, namely the good character requirement. The Minister may take into account many things when considering if an applicant meets the good character requirement. As a matter of policy, applicants with four or more infringements of a similar nature (e.g. traffic, fishing) incurred within the last two years should expect to have their citizenship application declined by the Minister for a period of 12 months after the date of their last infringement. Parking infringements seldom affect an applicant's ability to meet the good character requirement.作者: guobin 时间: 2013-8-8 12:16:25
