跟老外去了三皇岛四天三夜。。。吊到手都酸了~!把图分享一下吧
Big comfy boat Enchanter...Skipper Lance and deckies Steve and Dave did a magnificent job... will definitely be a returning customer!

On the way out of Mangonui towards Three Kings Islands trolling for Marlins, alas the water temp has lowered dramatically so the Marlins were missing in action...

Although we had no marlins, there were still plenty of skippies (skipjack tuna) around... some went on to become burley and bait...

1st drop, a few winds on the jig and BAM! My first ever legal Kingi!

My first drop fishing for bass, and I thought this was big at the time, how wrong was I!

45kg Bass, what a monster fish! Nearly lost this bad boy into the reefs. As you can see the scales on the skin are torn away, indicating the fish had tried to free itself by smashing itself against rocks and reefs... At these sizes, these fish have enormous strength and can smoke meters of braid in matter of seconds... hit the drag and hold on!!!!

Feeling the burn hooked up to a mule of a king fish... while most are out to beat their personal best... be careful what you wish for, the unsuspecting angler might just have himself/or his gear pulled off the boat!! (and yes the reel was tied to the boat for that exact reason)

The fight continues, the king took almost 30 minutes to pull up... a big work out with extreme muscle pains and sore back! This is where I wished I had a modern parabolic jigging rod where I'd be dishing the pain to the fish rather than the other way round!

What a hog of a fish this was! 39KG!! I was completely burnt out after this fight and could barely eek out a smile... For those that were wondering, the fish was released back into the ocean to live to fight another day (or another angler), no sashimi here...

Most of us went through the day alright with the adrenaline pumping... but as soon as the sun set and we lose sight of the horizon... seasickness kicked in ... chunder and dizzy bodies galore...

hey mate,
yes it was an amazing trip, best fishing trip of my life...
the problem with such a fishing trip is that you get spoilt,
because nearly every drop you will hook up, there is so much adrenaline.. the only question you are asking is, how big will the fish be, and kingfish below 20kg is considered a rat kingi up at 3 kings..
Cost really depends how long you want to go for, typical trip is 5 days, we went for 4..
boat hire cost $3000NZD a day, with up to 8 people on board (we had 7), food you can cater or bring your own, we had a butcher on board hence our food was very cheap ($100 per head, eating steak, bacon good meat everyday)
in terms of itinerary, Lance the skipper is pretty experienced and will usually suggest a plan of attack depending on how the weather is playing out, he will always try to get you the best fishing within the window of good weather (it is very rare to get 4 or 5 days of straight calm weather up at 3 kings)
You usually arrive the night before your booking, try to fill the live bait tank and sleep on the boat, then you depart the next morning either straight to 3 kings, or making a stop on the way (weather dependent), it takes 14 hours to go from Mangonui to 3 kings islands. Skipper usually gives one day for Hapuka fishing, but there is so much fish one day is more than enough to fill the hold, all other time you jig for king fish.作者: Lens 时间: 2013-7-1 22:59:25
