The Ministry for Primary Industries says all infant formula brands manufactured in New Zealand for export to China will soon need to be registered with the department.

The announcement comes hot on the heels of a series of critical news stories about this country's baby milk manufacturing industry broadcast by the state-run CCTV news network in China last month.

Most of the infant formula brands made in New Zealand do not operate factories but instead have their products produced at a number of contract manufacturing plants, mostly in Auckland.

As the ministry approves and regulates the manufacturers, rather than the brands, it has admitted that it does not know exactly how many brands are being produced in this country for export.

The ministry's director of market assurance, Tim Knox, said the brand registration requirement, which takes effect on June 20, had been decided in conjunction with a Chinese request.

这个其实是不是纽西兰方面的问题，纽西兰方面因该是没有问题，karicare以外的那200个品牌的东西在纽西兰境内也应该没有什么问题，问题是在中国，这个是利益的争夺，中国本来就不争气的本土奶业被外来的洋奶粉压制的基本上靠自然竞争上是彻底崩溃，从私上看党大员的七大姑八大姨和七大姑八大姨的七大姑八大姨及七大姑八大姨的三叔六舅们丰厚利益受损，从公上说我们伟大祖国的民族工业被反动的帝国主义及其爪牙恶意吞噬，这个时候迫切需要广大的爱国同袍们以中华民族大业为重，需要广大的爱国奶粉贩子们放下私利支持国家的民族工业，立即停止从外国进口洋奶粉支持国货鼓励只用国货。

武夫们，我说的对吗。

To be honest, some of our people have been making a bad name on NZ's products....not only on formular baby stuffs........
