NZ Health System and Services, plus Safety (water and fire)

In this workshop, you can learn about the NZ Health system and services. We also have presenters from Fire Services, Water Safety and Civil Defence, who will talk about environment safety issues. A session not to be missed!

Home Ownership/ Property + Tenancy Obligations

An informative session for newcomers, who are renting, wanting to rent, planning to buy a house or want to become a landlord. The workshop will cover the process of buying a house, home loan, protecting your home asset/ general aspect of renting including tenancy rights.

5th June

Wednesday

9.30am - 4.00pm

Budgeting, Financial Planning & Taxation

Would you like to learn more about budgeting and taxation in NZ? This financial workshop will look into issues such as budgeting, taxation, financial planning, KiwiSaver, financial resources, investment, and assets protection. IRD staff will also present on families tax credit and other financial issues that newcomers should be aware of.

Legal Rights & Safety Laws in NZ

Are you aware of your Rights in NZ? This legal session will cover laws regarding Local Elections, Neighbourhood Dispute, Traffic & Accidents and Community Safety. A must attend session for all newcomers as NZ law is varied from other countries.

9.30am - 4.30pm

NZ Education System and Library Information:

Do you have kids?This educational workshop is for parents, or would be parents, who are interested to learn about Early Childhood, Primary & Secondary Education systems in NZ. The workshop will finish with a Library Tour and information session on free services available from the library!

10th June

Monday

9.30am - 3.15pm

Bus Tour of the Auckland Region ($5 pp to be paid in advance)

A great opportunity to gain an overview of the Auckland region in which you have chosen to live and work and learn about the infrastructure, facilities, services and amenities.

Requirement: Newcomers living in New Zealand for 2 years or less. Priority is given to those who have attended the Newcomer Orientation Programme.

Yes. 不过有一个6月底的生意创业讲座是中文的。另外大家想要中文讲座的要求已被传达给上级，希望他们能尽快提供满足大家，提这个要求的人越多，政府就会越重视这件事，就会更早采取行动。
