Been there. but still think that is quite normal. Nothing really unusual
When you bought your own house, you will find there's more annoying things to deal with.

repaint, gardening insurance..........so on and on no ending.

too much to handle for one and only.

I guess, the expense +part of the rent < renting for a unit
