2007年10月16号，本人骑着自行车去上学，在一个红绿灯处被一辆轿车撞飞。我骑着车在2个车道的的左边，也就是靠路边的那个车道，然后有一辆轿车在右道，距离进入红绿灯区域大概3米的时候，突然左转，然后就直接撞上了我。后经警察调查，我骑自行车完全按照规矩来，那个开轿车的违反交通规章，错的全是他。
2个门牙。废了一个（已做根管治疗），另一个缺了一个口（牙医就贴了一小块类似牙齿的东西）。

现手头有当时警察局邮寄给我的compalint acknowledgement form。还有肇事者的地址和手机号码。

07年的时候做的根管治疗，还有着5年之间去过2次的检修牙齿是ACC全额cover的，但是牙医说新西兰的法律规定只有超过21岁才可以向那个什么crown申请cover弄陶瓷牙齿的费用。所以才一直没有弄陶瓷的牙齿，直到今年的10月份我才满了21岁，就去找牙医了，
牙医给我申请了。然后等了一个月收到信，信里面说只能帮我cover大概900多的费用。
牙医说弄个牙齿要1600左右，然后说剩余的700左右要我自掏腰包。

所以在这里我想问下我什么事情都没有做错，被车撞了，到最后弄个牙齿我还需要自己花钱去填补。这难道是我应该的嘛？还是说我可以通过什么渠道之类的让ACC全额cover或是让之前那个肇事者来支付？

您好，denture injury 是可以被acc cover的，而且treatment cost 一般会被cover。

你需要让牙医解释为什么acc只cover一部分，原因是什么？

在法律上，如果你的烤瓷牙是治疗而不是美容性质的，因为意外原因而造成的acc需要全额赔偿的。

但是之前我收到ACC给我的信的时候我有问我的牙医，他们说一般来说ACC都没有帮人家全额COVER过。
对方是洋人，他们说，for what i have known that acc has never paid the full cost, they will only cover by percentage.

Hi, My name is Jacky, I am the dentist in Smile Dental. ACC never pays full amount of the treatment. When you are under 18, you are covered by Dental Benefit and all of the treatment cost is paid by government, if u want to go thru ACC, You will only cover partially as well. I presume your last dentist, claimed both ACC and DB and therefore u didn't have to to pay anything (which is illegal anyway). However, Once after 18, you are not covered by DB. Therefore, ACC will normally only pay for 50 to 60% of the total cost. ACC has a schedule and determined what is the maximum amount they will pay per item. Any shortfall will be paid by the patient. If you can find the car owner, maybe you can ask him to pay for the difference if you are lucky. Our crown in here is around 1400, your short fall is less anyway....

i was hit by the car on 07/10/16 2007, at that time i was only 16, but i still don't know why my dentist said that according to new zealand law i can't do the metal or ceremic tooth untill 21 years old. thay also said that i have to be over 21 in order to claim for the crown.
so there it is , i wait for almost 5 years, during this period i dare not to use my front teeth. that's a torture!!!!
and at last i end up to pay the difference which is about 700 dollars.
this is unfair.
by the way. if i transfer to your place how much will it be to get my front teeth done?
