最近想换工作，看到albany监狱有职位空缺想申请，本人是社工背景刚注册，不知道这里有没有做case manager的同行说说工作环境?

我认识挺多在监狱里做的counsellor, case manager,还有probation officer,听说工作环境一般，但都很喜欢他们的工作和他们帮助的犯人。我也希望有机会能进去看看或者工作

it is not a great job. if you have just got your social worker degree, i would not recommend you to go. one of my colleagues husband works there. It is very stressful and the caseload is too high. ps, loads of paper work and lack of resources.

Apply a job in the community as a starter to ease yourself into the job.

yep you need a lot of passion for your work to work there.

这个一模一样的职位我也申请过但他们貌似都是被内部人take了不信你可以申请看看

我们机构的有个同事刚跳过去做probation officer，也想过去试下，不过还是要仔细想想下。。。
