I started my career in firewall/network administration in this exact same role for the exact same team > 10 years ago. The structure and what that team is responsible for is quite different now compare to when i joined the team, but it is still a good place to start for those of you keen to get into firewall/network/security administration.

nope, it's a tier 2 support role, they are probably looking for people with some relevant industrial experience. There are tonnes of people that join that team from other helpdesk/service desk teams though.

For a fresh grad like yourself, if you are interested to go down the sys/network admin path, helpdesk/service desk/ops role might be a better place to start.
