最近很多人谈到水费这个话题

正好身边有几张去年和今年的水费单, 做了个简单的比较. 看来很多人误解了.

其实很简单: (sorry have to type in English to save time)

wastewater fixed charge, decreased by 426-190 = $236
wastewater unit price charge, increased from 0 to 2.281/kl
so if the wastewater unit = 236/2.281 = 103.46KL then there is no difference.

wasterwater unit = 78.5% of the water volume
so the water = 103.46/78.5% = 131.79KL
each month it is about 131.78/12 = 11KL.
each month the cost will be about 50.20- (in the past it is about 150/ quarter)

If your usuage is double of this (ie 22KL per month), you will pay extra $236 a year
if your usuage is half of this (ie 5.5kl per month), you will save $118 a year.

不愧是analyst啊。算出breakeven point啦。我家的是7.9kl per month，省钱了。

问题是3-4口之家，一月是绝对不止5.5kl 的

11kl 和以前打平.

用的多的会比以前多付, 用的少的会比以前少付.

很多小家庭会受益

我家2大2小，这个月20KL，不知算不算多？

水费单后面的右边有大概的估算的。三个人的话估算是每天400-555l，那每个月就是12-16.5kl左右呗，你家好像是4个人用量的上限了。

如果两次用水差不多KL，费用不会差这么多的。

就算上個月是估算,都不會差近幾倍這么離譜阿...

water (19.07 - 20.08)  55.00KL $ 1.343/KL  $ 73.87
wastewater (19.07 - 20.08)  43.18KL  $ 2.281/KL  $ 98.49

fixed charges
wastewater (19.07 - 20.08) 33 days  $ 190.000pa $ 17.18

total amount to pay    189.54

估计你家有漏水，快查查吧，单子上说如果是漏水之后修好了可以有rebate的

租UNIT的有独立电表，以前一直按1.3刀/度计算，以目前的水费单现在是1.8刀/度了

还忘了说, 水费贵有两个原因
1. 用水量大 - 还要考虑是否有估算/ 实抄的问题
2. 计算价格变高 - 还要考虑地税省钱的因素, 排污费.

所以只说一个, 啊, 好贵啊, 等于没说.......

每天685L的用水量，一个月要70多块水费。家里5大人2小孩，算用的多吗？

This calculation is not correct - Did you ever see your council rates decreased? My rates from 2009 were increased from 286, 294, 309, 328 to 340, which means the rates are increased normally. Overall it means you need to pay 2.281%*78.5% = 1.79% per KL extra plus $190 pa for your water use.
We are all fooled.

This is a kind of swindle played by the council - something like 朝三暮四 or more like 朝二暮四？
