看到有位同学们用网上的资料来比较电力公司，这样来说powershop是比较贵。不过powershop是可以提前买电的，这样算下来的话，每度电并不贵。不过学过accounting的同学，也知道Time value of money 不过我人为电费早晚要交，这个可以忽略不计。6月每度电$0.2551 a unit 7月每度电$0.2622 a unit
6月 109.70/430=0.2551 a unit

上次看那个帖，powershop已经不是最便宜的了，只是用量不够大，没去折腾换

上个月610度电，最后付了148左右，算下来每度电0.243

签了mercury 2年的， 22.55一度，这个月用了694度，打完折后是173.89 => 0.243

Not to suggest that powershop is not good, but just for your info.
I use Energy online and living in northshore ( a bit expensive than eastern and central area), Ave 0.2622 per unit for June & July,and I don't need to worry about checking out specials and pay in advance. Eventhough,Time value of money won't be too much , but still you should take into account that it is affecting the value. ( Say you pre purchse your power 2 or 3 month in advance , plus if using other company you pay by a credit card, that could be a total 4-5 month difference) .

My views only,may not be correct.

Included. GST as well.

Cal:
Fix charge 0.97/day, 0.2426/unit
i.e.( Mine house) June 29days ,1099 units =0.24674 /unit after discount inc GST
say a low user, 29days ,700units =0.261063/unit.
and you paying the july power in 10th Aug Plus max. Credit card term 52days ....

try this web, you will find out whether you are saving any money or not.

But before you try it. you need to know which plan you are on then you can compare or switch. Powershop is ok but you need to constantly monitor it, it's too time consuming. and nowadays governement promoting the switch and save to break the monopoly of the power company. So a lot of power companies have already dropped their price. shop around you will find a good deal.

但是powershop很适合那些用电少的家庭的.

PLS don't say that.

I am dying for the huge power usage now. I have no idea How my tenant used that much. It was 500-600 in May before they moved in. and last year I was all-time low user , well below 8000unit per yr

之前我出租房客的时候也是这样, 一天用25-40度之间, 冬天时候才到过50度/天, 果断请他们走人.
现在自己一家人住, 每天10度不够, 所以powershop,很适合我....
