Are you on salery or wage? if you are on wage, that's fine as you are paid by hours. otherwise you work over time is only for LOVE for your company. hahahahah.....

I am on salary... hours are 9pm to 6pm... we are on random lunch break... so most of time we have to work 9hours a day....

yes, 6pm is a good time, it avoids the terrible traffic
But we actually work almost 9 hours a day and get paid for 8 hours per day

dude....

honestly you can tell your boss/manager this, and he probably will say, ok, come at 930, or ok, go home at 530.

your boss will never know your concern if you dont tell him/her/shim

My boss love to stay in the office, almost 12 hours a day, sometimes he can sleep here too, he is a geek... haha

use a proper excuse and dont you start with, hey boss I want to come at 930..

you say.. boss... the traffic is really bad in the morning....how do you come to work? blah blah blah..
boss say.. oh yeah... blah blah blah
you say .. oh dont you have to feed your dog? blah blah blah.... what about your children? how do you manage? blah blah blah... oh you are such a superman blah blah blah... oh by the way I realised... I actually do 9 hours of work...
boss say.. oh really? I didnt know!
you say... yeah...(put up a face of a dedicated worker's face)... so I was wondering if I can come either half an hour later? cos the traffic is real shxte in the morning..

use other stuff as smoke screen to get to your destination bro.
