I have >4 years experiences working as Auditor/Accounting position in Hong Kong. I am CPA qualifed. For some reason, i came back to New Zealand for work. Would be grateful if someone can give me some insight on how to search a NZ job thru Recruitment agency? Can i arrange an meeting with them and talk to them directly rather than just applied an account on their web site?

You can just apply to the firms directly why you want to apply via agent?

most CA firms have no openings available in Christchurch

yes, I send my CV and short desciption about my background to an agent's email DIRECTLY, I didnt apply thru
web. just got another call from a bank, arranged interview next week after easter.
So have faith in yourself!!!我还是国内的经验都会有面试，你是在HK 工作过的就更不用说了！！！

Because people are moving out of there. I know quite a few locals they have moved up. Even the banks are having promotions to helping Christchurch residents.

For such a person like you with experience and qualification, agents would like to work FOR you. I suggest you contact ocg, robert harris, kelly service who are specialising in recruisement in accounting industry. They would refer you a range of vacancies for you to consider.
