大家好。在New Market 找了工作，请问有谁知道附近哪有free parking 的地方？

I shouldnt tell you this but there are lots of free parking on Remuera Road, no time limit.

you should really just look up the map for the locality of Remuera road.

Newmarket is a large area, Remuera road cuts in the middle.
if you are working at the southern end of New Market, Gt South road has lots of free parking.

by the way. do you want me to hold your hand and take you to the free parking space and put a map on your neck so you wont get lost?

give me a break, please. =.=

Well, I believe most offices are located at Carlton Gore Road, next to Domain

something like that, some side streets you can park as well.

not sure if AT has spotted these area and put up a parking meter or two.

if all fails, Gt South Road, between Continental Cars and Dilworth Schools has numerous free parking all day long.

Newmarket is a premier shopping centre where pedestrians and public transport come first - similar to the Auckland CBD, no local government anywhere in the developed countries would allow free commuter parking in this type of environment as this is inconsistent with/against the well recognised urban design principles so please dont even think about it.

If you still want a parking space, you would need to either pay or walk.

even the Council planner made a comment... so consider yourself lucky with the few remaining free parking at Gt South Road.... keep your fingers crossed that no AT parking dept saw my post reg. free space at Gt South Road... hahhahahaahha

Sorry for asking several questions. I have never worked in New Market before, so just get idea of parking availability.

只能停到居民区去

有同事停到Gillies Ave 那里的居民区的，但有被砸被拖的风险。还有就是每周50左右附近的室内停车。
