ECON基本属于毕业=失业的专业...
ACCTG怎么说呢，至少还属于有找到工作的专业.....当然了,finance和ECON搭配还是相得益彰的，如果你的Finance能学好，ECON作为辅助还是很不错的

我一直没有搞清楚Finance毕业能做什么？我对会计也已经恨之入骨了。

ECON是比较不好找工作，尤其在NZ这种小国家，用不上。Finance毕业可以做炒股，外汇之类的吧。ACCTG刚入行是比较闷，但是还是有点前途的吧，而且工作发找些（当然一开始收入是一般）。我是在国内有学ACCTG，但是受不了，来这边转读IS，现在工作也是这方面的。比ACCTG有趣多了！这是我的个人见解了。

读Finance去银行的多，然后慢慢地往投资部发展，然后就是考CFA...拿到CFA的时候就真的混出头了，和accounting拿到CA一样

Unfortunately, in the market, it requires 100 accountants and 1 investment bankers. Most people in the bank/insurance industry are doing customer services jobs. Yes, top% people get big reward, that's why most people get lost.

Financial BCA from VUW, worked in front line retail for 2 years.
completing master in mangerment, currently work as national office manager for retail chain store,

对呀。也在保险公司工作过，无聊啊。现在是Project Manager，IT方面的。工作范围内也有包括Business Analysis，算是跟IS对口吧。读IS就是要读一点Programming,其它不难。

at least my friend has moved to investment banking from customer service at ASB

haha, calm down. I didn't mention "graduates" either. What I'm talking about is the market and proportion. Yes, I know a guy graudated with a BCom(Honour) is now working in investment bank in Sydney, but it doesn't help with thousands finance students.

重点在于lz的兴趣是什么，当时上大学的时候根本没想将来做什么，完全是按着兴趣来的。
单学econ基本没用，确实是挺简单的。如果对数学有兴趣，可以考虑加个stat/math major，将来找工作机会会多很多，investment 和insurance 比较中意有数学底子和金融理念的员工。

true.....only a few of them can make the postive move. it's the same as IT, not everyone in IT field can earn 6 figures.

ECON 毕业，C成绩，在政府混，一开始和专业不对口，慢慢换部门到对口为止。

看行业吧，很多地方，只求先进去，做什么没关系。
