NZ PR needs to have employer's sponsorship in order to work there unless one is NZ citizen, right?

Yes. NZ PR adds no credit to the Chinese passport.

我觉得NZ PR稍微有点帮助，毕竟大家都知道的是如果曾经拿过新西兰签证，之后按时回国的，下次在来都会容易拿点，NZ PR或许可以稍微证明你不会黑在那边。
