一周工作了超过了40小时，但是我感觉我的收入好像不随着小时数的增加成正比的增加，感觉好像税收的多了？

it depends on the total income but not the hours.

For instance, if the increased hours make your annual income jumped from under $48k to over $48k, more tax will be applied to every dollar over $48k. Higher income tax will be applied for the lifting from under $70k to over $70k.

这个不是看多少个小时，而是看你的gross income是多少。

年度结束的时候你再看看交了多少税，再根据你的总收入，看看你是否有退税什么的。
