上个月去南岛旅行，回程的时候，遇到天气情况，航班cancelled，改到了另一天。我刚好买了回程domestic保险，以为可以赔偿我一晚的住宿，谁知道他们不赔，他们有term and condition

QBE will not pay any costs that relate to:
•accommodation if you did not have prepaid accommodation for your trip (except when your travel booking is a return trip on the same day)

意思是，如果因为飞机cancel了，而我在奥克兰定了酒店的话，就会赔我钱。倒是因为我在QTN是突然住的，不是pre-book，所以不赔。

看来向保险公司要钱是不可能了。

但是很不爽。这样的话就是没有保险可以保障国内航班旅客的利益的了？

有没有可能像air nz要点什么compensation，air point也好，哥好不平衡。

紐航估計不會給你賠償，天氣取消航班他們也不會負責的。不過天氣原因取消Queenstown-Auckland的航班，而且是Air New Zealand……現在應該少見了很多的了，這樣都讓你遇上了:D Air New Zealand現在Queenstown有非常精密的GPS導航進近，所謂RNP0.1，和林芝一個水平了。只要云底高度不低於423(Boeing 737-300)或者400英尺(Airbus A320)就能正常運行……那天Queenstown有霧？

似乎Air New Zealand的terms and condition也沒明確說這個住宿問題：
9.2 CANCELLATION AND RE-ROUTING
9.2.1 We reserve the right to substitute an aircraft and/or Alternative Carrier. If we cancel a flight, fail to operate a flight reasonably according to the schedule, fail to stop at your destination or Stopover, or cause you to miss a connecting flight on which you hold a confirmed reservation on a Conjunction Ticket, you shall have the option, subject to our agreement, either:
9.2.1.1 to be carried on another of our scheduled services on which space is available in the same class, or where space is not available, on the services of an Alternative Carrier, in either case without additional charge or refund to you; or
9.2.1.2 to be re-routed to the next Stopover or destination shown on your Ticket by our own services or those of an Alternative Carrier. If the fare and charges for the revised routing are lower than what you have paid, we shall refund the difference;
9.2.1.3 if neither of the above alternatives is acceptable to you, we will make a refund or provide a credit in accordance with the provisions of 10.2 and we shall have no further liability to you.

I did see Air NZ flights tried to land several times but they failed so diverted, while jet star just decided not to go to QTN.

I admit that is bad luck... just do not happy about the insurance policy.

你AKL- ZQN - AKL, 在zqn 因航班问题延迟一天, 你多住了一天, 应该要赔的啊? 不然买保险干嘛啊?

不过我个人没遇到这种事....

这种正事在这问都没什么用处。

最好的办法：1，打电话给AirNZ，直接开口要；2，打电话给保险公司，直接要赔偿。

省时间，又直接了当。如果在这拖久了，人就懒了，会觉得没必要为了一晚100多的这么麻烦。所以要趁热打铁，趁现在还想要，尽快打电话。

I did read them, but just missed some points, or my english reading is not good enough to play english with insurance.

It means:
- if you didn't pre-pay for any accommodation - then no reimbursement
- if your travel booking is a return trip on the same day, meaning you go there today and coming back today, and flight is cancelled - then accommodation can be reimbursed...

你是隔天飞回来，航空公司不安排你当晚住宿吗？你要是自己当天住下来，Travel insurance应该是不陪的吧

that is the story. Air NZ had no obligation to pay for the accomodation due to weather condition...

我那天下午上班。。。。早上和朋友特意去拍了的:) 在weibo有贴啊。后来才发现我的engineering同事都组团去近距离参观了。。。。在airside基本都随意。反而外面的，即使是AirNZ雇员都还得抽签500个吧？

一般报名都可以去，但是不能带家属，必须员工本人，所以去的人不多。
