惠灵顿的 divers,不抓海鲜的时候参加下公益活动,帮忙捡垃圾,meet fellow divers。
at Taranaki Wharf (Te Papa 后面) 11月19号,下星期六。
女市长带队,下面很多瓶瓶罐罐,还有些大家伙,你是搬不动滴。。。{:7_347:}
不潜水的可以在岸上凑热闹,需要装备的可以问问islandbay diver 是不是可以免费租赁(或者你回帖问一下,我去问问组织者怎么个安排)。
想去温习技术的,或者想去大显身手的都通知我一声,结个伴。{:7_351:}
English version:
Educate to Eliminate.....Yes it's back! Join us at Taranaki Wharf on Saturday 19th November to spread the word to non-ocean dwellers about the condition of our ocean by showing them what lurks beneath our harbour.
Once again our Mayor Celia Wade-Brown will lead the dive off and Macs Brewbar will provide nibbles après dive! The Island Bay Marine Education centre will again be showing off our catch (or save) before returning them to a cleaner home, and while I haven't heard from the Fire service yet I am sure they will be happy to hose you all off again!
So once again we need divers and top-side crew…and someone with a guitar to entertain us? (Fly My Pretties are in town - hint hint nudge nudge wink wink).
For this clean-up we are also looking for snorkelers or general non-divers (you will need a wetsuit and sturdy shoes) to help out by collecting floating and trapped rubbish from under the wharf, up against the breakwater. Kayakers can also help out here by ferrying rubbish back to the top side crew.
Please let me know if you are keen to help out, and what part you would like to play.
The plan for the day will go a bit like this (I will update closer to the day):
1000 - arrive at Taranaki Wharf cut-outs and get dive or snorkel gear set up (you can drop gear off from 0930 and again parking will be made available)
1030 - welcome and safety brief, start getting in the water.
1115 - all divers/snorkelers to be in the water
1230 - everyone out of the water and cleaned up for group photo
1300 - after match at Macs Brewbar作者: 薰衣草的天空 时间: 2011-11-7 17:21:10

the plan -
Please arrive between 0930 and 1000 (see photo 1), drop your gear off and you will get a pass for the Barnett St car park (see photo 2).
There will be a safety brief at 1030 and divers will enter the water between 1100 and 1130. Steve Meads from Blue Wellington will be the safety guru and will take names before you get in and check you off when you get out. Please don't enter the water if you haven't given him your name. Snorkelers and kayakers also need to give their names...no one gets left behind! :)
The first group in will be the buddy groups of Mayor Celia Wade-Brown and Gareth Hughes MP.
If you want to be in the "under the wharf rock walking" team. You will need a wetsuit (or not if you wish, but the only way to get there is via the water) and sturdy shoes...and mind the rats :)
...and PLEASE we need at least 2 kayakers (thanks Hud I got your email)
If you want to be on the surface rope pulling or de-crittering teams we will have rubber gloves but gardening gloves will also help.
Max dive times will be 50 mins so all divers should be out of the water by 1230. Depth and area of dive will be included in the safety brief.
After the dive the nice young men of the NZ Fire Service will hose you and your gear off (gears before beers after all) and then off to Macs Brewbar where they will have a few platters for us and we can spin a few yarns about the size of the rats!
