现在闹得很厉害, 已经email groupy 退了....

The manager of this restaurant is a really cheater and restaurant is not well organised.
I booked a table for 4. Two adults, 5 years old kit and 11 month baby.
He said 5 year old kid is $15 when I booked, but he charged $22.
There were no oysters, meat was very tough so my kid counld't eat and we had to move seats twice.
He led us to seat by window (I didn't ask) and told us that we would have to leave in an hour (what the hell!).
He said that seat is the last booked seat.( I didn't understand what he said. sounds like he didn't even write my booking at all)
Anyway, we had to move seat, but this one was in the asile so people were unable to pass if we put a pram by table, but no where to put.
I had to take a pram because by baby fell asleep on the way. so we have to move again.
I realy don't understand why the manager led us to that table.
NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL.

We would like to complain about the service of the Oceanview Restaurant. We had booked in for dinner on Sunday night for 6:30 pm. We arrived at the restaurant at 6:20 pm to a full restaurant with between 30 and 40 people waiting to be seated. There was a group of 10 that had booked to be seated at 6:00 pm. By 6:45 pm, one of the ladies in the group of 10 (who had a baby with her) was fed up and asked for a refund (as they had also purchased the deal off Groupy) - the manager of the restaurant was very rude to her and flogged her off claiming that he had other people to seat, even though this poor lady had been waiting for 45 minutes. After my husband and I had been waiting around until 6:45 also (and had seen how rude the manager was), we decided that we would also like a refund. The restaurant was over booked and very loud. My husband asked the lady at the desk if we could have our money back as we no longer wanted to eat there - she didn't speak a word of English and was more interested in gathering money from customers that had already eaten. By now, we were fuming and it was 6:55 pm. The manager was still refusing a refund and telling us that we weren't 'important' as there were people waiting for seats. As we were getting nowhere, we spoke to another lady who had the same attitude. She advised my husband that 'a restaurant is like a hospital, you don't get seen right away'... The public health industry and hospitality industry couldn't be any less alike! We were completely astonished as we made a booking for 6:30 pm and expected to be seated by 6:35 pm at the absolute latest. After advising the manager that we would take legal action, he gave us our money back - by now it was 7:15 pm and there was still no attempt to get us seated. It is very disappointing to be let down again by a restaurant voucher that we have purchased off Groupy - this is the second bad dining experience we have had using Groupy vouchers and nothing was done about the first one and we can pretty much guarantee that nothing will be done about this one either.

看了网上的广告,48D两个人。等于半价吧8 t; n/ u: W) W, j8 k* @5 B, t
还挺实惠的,以前去过两次,肥美的生蚝,美味的韩国特色菜。就算是全价也觉得还值。/ n5 ~' J% o( k# M) n( b7 k
这次也是抱着这样的想法去的。结果大失所望。。。。!(听说是换老板了)7 Y B7 a! H" W, F  P3 j7 G; s
第一是没有生蚝(我就是冲着生耗去的)1 w! n3 J! g. ^+ E  g% w! M5 J
第二食物不新鲜,那个虾是断头的,又小。牛肉淡而无味。就是肥猪肉味道还可以,可是那不是我的爱好。( n! N/ c( q; w
第三就连这些不怎么可口的食物都是供应不上。老是缺货。 i8 o% S% Q( }4 |
宝宝也是吃什么就吐什么,一点都不吃。
最后是就我老公吃了点肉,我吃了点沙拉,甜点。就匆匆走了。
重点是宝宝最好不要带去那种地方,油烟味实在太厉害了。
我的端午节就在一顿不愉快的晚餐中结束了,要去煮面吃了

我已经写信了,groupy一个叫做Blake的人给我回电话,一直在保护那个店家,说如果吃了就不可以refund了,我说我没有吃,但是我去了看了一圈都没有什么东西,所以我没有吃就出来了,他说他去吃过了,很好,现在很多人complain是因为太多人买,所以店家很忙,上的不够快,然后他说有至少50种的东西,让我选一个weekday去,如果到时候还是质量不行的话,打电话联系他退款,他的电话是0274213431

我建议还没有吃的人,去那边看他有多少种菜,不要吃,直接给这个人打电话,说我现在就在buffet那里,根本没有50种以上的选择,当场叫他来,叫他refund,我们要团结起来!

They have also made adjustments to waiting times for booking schedules as they had a huge amount of people make bookings for Sunday night.

我觉得还是难辞其咎的,他们为它打广告、为它卖餐券就应该得确保东西和他们打的广告是一样的 ……假如餐厅是批发商,Groupy这些网站就是retailer。

我在GrabOne还是dailydo退款过,是验光的,有行小字写明必须在他那里配眼镜而且不能带走prescription。我买了才看到就联系退款了……很轻松,没有任何问题。1分钟一个电话搞定。

我上个周六晚上5:00去的,没有生蚝,其他的觉得都还好了。不过,我走的时候大概是6:20,看到很多很多的人在等。所以建议大家要早点去,去5点的那个时段,人比较少,东西也很多

After going through weather records of last week there was NOT a storm that would stop fishing (我在民航業工作,所以相當留意天氣) and oysters from oyster farms had always been readily available on the market.

Groupy's false/misleading advertisement is not acceptable and needs to be stopped. I will have no choice but taking this matter to the Commerce Commission.

When you have the right to reject the goods, sellers cannot just offer a credit note. If you want a refund, you are entitled to it - by cash, cheque or credit card charge reversal.

不过人家可以argue我并非have right to reject,而是人家出于good will给我退的款……

Right to reject 需要Failure of substantial character


    21 Failure of substantial characterFor the purposes of section 18(3), a failure to comply with a guarantee isof a substantial character in any case where---

8 Options against suppliers where goods do not comply with guarantees
(1) Where a consumer has a right of redress against the supplier in accordance with this Part in respect of the failure of any goods to comply with a guarantee, the consumer may exercise the following remedies.
(2) Where the failure can be remedied, the consumer may—
(a) require the supplier to remedy the failure within a reasonable time in accordance with section 19:
(b) where a supplier who has been required to remedy a failure refuses or neglects to do so, or does not succeed in doing so within a reasonable time,—
(i) have the failure remedied elsewhere and obtain from the supplier all reasonable costs incurred in having the failure remedied; or
(ii) subject to section 20, reject the goods in accordance with section 22.
(3) Where the failure cannot be remedied or is of a substantial character within the meaning of section 21, the consumer may—
(a) subject to section 20, reject the goods in accordance with section 22;
or
(b) obtain from the supplier damages in compensation for any reduction in value of the goods below the price paid or payable by the consumer for the goods.
(4) In addition to the remedies set out in subsection (2) and subsection (3), the consumer may obtain from the supplier damages for any loss or damage to the consumer resulting from the failure (other than loss or damage through reduction in value of the goods) which was reasonably foreseeable as liable to result from the failure.

cao~哥们上次在groupy买了2张某泰国店的打折券,结果第2天兴高采烈去吃,一到门外,看见门上帖了张纸“for sale". mlgb的,纯属欺诈。店都倒闭了,还在网上打广告骗钱。泰国人都tm不得好死~。
