标题: 食品科学的就业机会不多吗??? [打印本页]

借贵宝地一问,我明白找工作取决于自身是否努力,但是有人说food science的工作机会挺多的,有人说工作机会少,所以我想知道各位的看法

短缺就是没人学的意思
要么就是特别难特别苦
要么就是没前途短期找不到工作
长期不好说,有些可能只是暂时的,比如食品科学
不过有些行业一直短缺,一直没前途,比如。。。

对于毕业生来说就业机会取决于你哪个学校毕业,成绩如何,中间的实习如何。对于有工作经验的来说,取决于你能做什么,能给公司解决什么问题,创造什么价值。

Could be many, but may not be in Auckland.

My friend's son graduated with a Master degree in Food Science in Massey but needs to go down to an unknown town somewhere near Wellington as he got a job in Fonterra specialised in Cheese making - unless Cheese suddenly became a popular food/ingredient for Asian people (which is not likely), I guess his opportunity in Asia is very limited in case he wants to back there for work one day.

Fonterra technical graduate programme (FTGP) is always looking for food science/technology graduates, they normally offer 50+ graduate programme positions a year. After one year graduate programme, the graduate will be granted another master degree called Master of Dairy Science and they can choose to stay with technical or change to commercial area within the business. Lots of FTGP graduates are working in commercial right now. (Particularly Fonterra OTS)

Take Fonterra as an example, I haven't seen any indian with technical background working in OTS at the moment.

新西兰8个大学都有这个FOOD相关的专业。
仅以我个人和身边朋友的经历来大概为楼主解释一下吧。
奥大的叫做FOOD SCIENCE 四年本科,MASSEY的叫做FOOD TECH 4年本科,而AUT的叫做APPLIED SCIENCE(MAJOR IN FOOD SCIENCE)3年本科---其他学校的没有熟人所以我不发言。
毕业后的择业选择很多,主要取决于你到底想做什么?适合做什么?

1. 最简单的就是去ALPHA LAB 或者ASSURE QUALITY LAB 做LAB TECH 或者QA/QC之类的工作---工作先对简单,要求不高,收入自然也就有些限制
2. SENSORY EVELUATION TECH-要求会高一些,收入也会好很多的。(随着经验逐渐增加)
3. Packaging Tech-要求很高,一旦经验丰富以后收入也很不错的
4. NPD或者R&D TECH, 要求也不低,开始薪水就不错,随着经验的增加收入也会有大幅增长
5. Food Tech, 要求与收入基本持平
6. Process Improvement tech-需要一定的工作经验才能胜任的工作,起薪不错
7. Project management, 很有意思和挑战性的工作
8. Continuos Improvement & Training Development Tech-很有意思的工作,薪水也算不错
9. Quality assurance TECH
10.OPERATIONAL ROLE, SUCH AS TEAM LEADER, SUPERVISOR, MANAGER。。。。。。级别越高,薪水越高,自然要求也就越高了。
11. 回学校做助教,然后升级去教书-受人尊敬薪水也不错
12. FOOD SCIENTIST-做个食品科学家也不错

还有很多很多的选择, 关键问题在于你自己到底想做什么?适合做什么??

也就是上Fonterra之类 本科毕业没有什么工作经验的不一定能找到工作 post和master的会好一点 刚开始干工资不会太高 有了一定资历可以考虑到别的地方发展例如oz us canada europe工资会起码是nz的2倍 可是不好念

我觉得现在学这个专业的中国人开始多了呢,我觉得不错啊,挺好的专业
