Osama bin Laden is dead and the US has a body, a U.S official has told media.

US President Barack Obama is to make an emergency announcement at an abruptly called late-night press conference.

A US intelligence official has confirmed he is set to announce Bin Laden's death, US media are reporting.

A White House official declined to divulge the subject matter of the statement, but the decision to address the nation at such short notice and on a Sunday evening was highly unusual.

Al-Qaeda founder and leader Osama Bin Laden is dead, according to US media reports citing officials.

The US is in possession of Bin Laden's body, the reports say. President Barack Obama is due to make a statement shortly.

Bin Laden is top of the US most wanted list.

He is accused of being behind a number of atrocities, including the attacks on New York and Washington on 11 September 2001.

The al-Qaeda leader was killed in a mansion outside Islamabad in an operation based on actionable US intelligence, CNN reported.

这个玩笑开的有点过了！拉登本着伊斯兰信仰，舍弃亿计家产的享受，全身心扑在伊斯兰民族的反抗压迫斗争中，不是简单的恐怖分子定义可以解释的。巴基斯坦水灾，他还呼吁成立救灾基金会呢。

国际法里有种族灭绝罪，很讽刺的是口口声声种族灭绝是罪的那些Anglo-Saxon，恰恰是他们实施过种族灭绝的罪行。现在把种族灭绝放入国际法，就是怕Anglo-Saxon自己的后代被清算而已。
