各位xdjm,

人在国内，新西兰驾照要到期了，看了网站要本人到新西兰办理。可是我一是走不开，二是为了换驾照飞来新西兰代价也太大了。大家有更好的办法吗？不胜感激！！！！！

过期了回来不能补办？

可以过期之后回来再办，但一定要本人在NZ才能办

Renewing a photo driver licence

You need to renew your photo driver licence every 10 years. You should renew your photo driver licence on or before the expiry date.
You'll be sent a renewal pack before your driver licence expires - to ensure you receive your license renewal pack, make sure you inform the NZ Transport Agency if your address changes.

Go to your nearest AA Centre, AA Driver & Vehicle Licensing Agent or Rural Mobile Unit to renew your licence. These cannot be processed over the phone or online.

When do you renew your licence?

You don't have to wait for the driver licence renewal pack. You can renew at anytime.
If you renew your licence:

more than 12 months early, your new licence will be valid for 10 years from the date we grant your application
less than 12 months before its expiry date, your new licence will be valid for 10 years from the expiry date of your current licence.
after it has expired, your new licence will be valid for 10 years from the date we grant your application.

我好象去年在报纸上看到,如果驾照过期了没换,要重新考一次路试的.

新西兰的驾照在中国通用吗？
不用再考试？

如果新西兰驾照过期了，本人不在新西兰境内，回来新西兰后重新申请延期即可，不需要考试。如果过期超过5年需要写一份长期居住国外的信。

目前的政策是这样的

Your licence expired more than five years go?
You may have to pass theory and practical tests to renew your licence. You may not have to if your licence expired while you were in hospital, in prison or overseas - but you must apply to renew your licence within 90 days of your discharge, release or return.
到AA官网上确认了一下，如果不在新西兰，驾照过期5年后只要在返回新西兰90天内办理就可以了。
