A woman was stabbed after a botched handbag snatching attempt near Hamilton Lake this afternoon.
The woman was taken to Waikato Hospital in a moderate to serious condition after the incident on Ruakiwi Rd about 1.15pm.
Hamilton police do not have many details and can only confirm they are looking for a man.
A blue Nissan, parked on Ruakiwi Rd, has been cordoned off in an area where it is believed the incident took place.
Patrol cars were stationed along Lake Rd and Ruakiwi Rd, behind Hamilton Girls' High School, but have since been stood down.
It's the second instance of bag snatching in the city after three girls went on a handbag snatching spree late Sunday night.
Two women were allegedly attacked, beaten and punched, in separate incidents on Bains Ave and at Westfield Chartwell.
The trio, aged 17-26, were finally arrested after an incidenet at a Yates Ave house.
They were to reappear in Hamilton District Court today for bail applications after being charged with aggravated robbery.
The 17-year-old faces an additional charge of assault using a spatula and beer glass.作者: cc3261016 时间: 2011-4-5 15:26:25
