精简版* Sponsors of immigrants will be liable for all costs, including medical and deportation.
* Schools cannot be prosecuted if they enrol foreign students who are unlawfully in New Zealand.
* No more "permits" or "exemptions" - only visas will be issued or waived.

我当年进新西兰就是只有PERMIT ，没有VISA，还好现在已经OK了。

本来有了Visa 后Permit就多次一举了。
现在合并了不更好吗？有Visa可以进可以出了，你要Permit有什么用？只能呆在这里而已，出境作废。
这次修改也没看出啥取消永久的迹象，虽然一直有这种传说。。。但是似乎两个党都不敢做改动。

Oh, I see, I have never studied the difference between a Visa and Permit and etc, as I have landed with a permanent residence in New Zealand and citizen of another country..... good point

我09年初时候，没看护照上只有PERMIT,没有VISA，就直接回国过年了。还好很幸运，能够回来，移民局限我入境三天内去办理VISA

哦全部换成visa不错这样就没有因为拿的work permit而不能出境的问题了
